A 20-year Coaching veteran in the world of College Basketball, Nate has spent time at all-levels of NCAA Women’s Basketball, including 5 seasons as a Head Coach. A passionate teacher & transformational leader. Nate also works with the VGM Group in Waterloo, IA as a corporate recruiting contractor. This role includes Leadership Development, Local recruitment & retention, as well as speaking & team building. Nate’s wife Alex (Cook) Oakland is a former D1 NCAA Hall-of-Fame basketball player, currently works for Farm Bureau Insurance in Iowa. Together they have been blessed with 5 active children which occupy the majority of their time.
