With nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare leadership, innovation, strategic marketing, strategic business development, and payer network development, Richard operates at the forefront of healthcare transformation. As the Founder and Managing Director of the Healthcare Growth Group (HGG), Richard brings a wealth of strategic and operational leadership expertise across the spectrum of functions needed to achieve exceptional growth outcomes. Deeply passionate about homecare, mobile healthcare, and healthtech, Richard plans and executes strategic growth initiatives to supercharge successful product and/or market launches, revenue growth, business objectives, and stakeholder exits. Richard's track record of achievement features leading and transformative with leading and transformative enterprises, at the key inflection points when a lion’s share of the value was created and captured by each enterprise and its investors. Prior to founding HGG, Richard served as the Chief Development Officer and General Counsel of VieMed Healthcare. At VieMed, Richard coordinated a dramatic, national payer network and market expansion that cemented VieMed's status as one of the nation's largest respiratory disease management companies - and helped drive VieMed’s listing on Nasdaq. Planning and executing unique payer, payer market access and managed care strategies, at an unprecedented scale, Richard secured a vast majority of VieMed's payer contracts and partnerships, with a significant impact on VieMed’s national market share and revenues. Before VieMed, Richard founded, operated, and successfully exited Comprehensive Mobile Care, an innovative integrated delivery system providing mobile dentistry, audiology, optometry, and podiatry services to institutional patients throughout seventeen states. Richard formerly also served as a Director of ReachOut Healthcare America, then the largest mobile healthcare company in the US, during its period of eldercare market entry, expansion, and recapitalization to Morgan Stanley. On three different occasions, Richard partnered in the formation of innovative health insurance companies and health plans providing healthcare financing solutions for Richard’s enterprises and partners. Richard possesses a pragmatic and impactful approach to complex healthcare business challenges and opportunities, forged in-part through the foundational experience of serving healthcare clients, while practicing law with a leading international law firm, Jones Day. Richard holds a JD and a BA in Organizational Studies from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Arizona Eller College of Management.
