expectations, and changing perceptions of aging and disability are reshaping the home access
industry. This session challenges the traditional view of accessibility as a reactive response to
limitation and reframes it as a proactive strategy for supporting independence, identity, safety,
and quality of life. Attendees will examine how Baby Boomers, Generation X, and emerging
younger consumers think differently about assistance, aging, technology, design, and the home
itself. The session will also explore how language, aesthetics, and deeply rooted assumptions
