The accessibility industry is facing an ongoing legislative battle as organized labor and other
interests pursue changes that could significantly affect how accessibility equipment is installed,
serviced, and delivered to the people who depend on it. While our industry has successfully
defended against some of these efforts, other battles have been lost, and the consequences of
these legislative changes can directly impact providers, manufacturers, and ultimately the people
we serve. AEMA is leading the fight at the legislative level, but protecting our industry requires
greater awareness, stronger participation, and a unified voice from everyone involved in
accessibility.
