Martin Simenc is the owner and founder of Home Safety Services, Inc., one of the nation’s leading home accessibility companies having assisted over 40,000 seniors to enhance their independence and quality of life at home. Martin founded the company in 1997 following a career in risk management. His educational background includes an AA degree from Menlo College, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University, and a master’s in business administration (Finance and International Business) from the University of San Francisco. Thereafter, he became a licensed Professional Engineer (Fire Protection) and an associate in risk management
(ARM). Since founding Home Safety Services, Inc., Martin became a Licensed General Contractor in the State of California, a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) and a Certified Environmental Access Consultant (CEAC). As a pioneer in the field of Senior Home Modifications, Martin is a frequent speaker and consultant to various industry associations, healthcare providers and community organizations. He has contributed to the formation of multiple community-based fall prevention task forces and currently sits on the board of Lesley Senior Communities.
