Tugba Koca, CDME, is the Corporate Training Manager at ACU-Serve. She has over 15-years of experience in the DME field. She has spent nearly 10 years specifically in audits with emphasis on Complex Rehab Technology (CRT). Her extensive knowledge in CRT landscape ranges from coverage guidelines, documentation requirements, coding, billing, audits, appeals, ALJ hearings, training, coaching and much more. She brings tremendous value to the supplier, clinician, and CRT user community with her expertise. She participated in countless high dollar complex rehab claim appeals, RAC, ZPIC, UPIC, CERT, SMRC, HMS and PERM audits, Formal Telephone Discussion projects with the QIC (Qualified Independent Contactor), and ALJ hearings. Her mission is to assist providers stay compliant, reduce error rates, be reimbursed timely and audit proof their files. All while keeping CRT user community, patient advocacy, and access to care as the center of focus. She is part of the Noridian Medicare Provider Outreach & Education Advisory Group, and she is a participant of a CRT Advocacy project group with NCART. The healthcare industry is always changing; she stays abreast of industry regulation changes to provide the most accurate and recent updates.
