Julie Jackson has been a Registered Respiratory Therapist for 29 years. She has her Respiratory Therapy Degree and her bachelor’s degree in health promotions. Julie’s current role is Clinical Affairs Specialist with Fisher & Paykel Healthcare where her focus in on education and research. Prior to this role she worked at UnityPoint Health Des Moines for 26 years and was the Manager for Respiratory Care and ECLS Services at UnityPoint Health Des Moines. While at Unity Point Health Des Moines, Julie either authored or co-authored numerous publications on the utilization of high flow therapy to improve the health of the patient and the health of the organization.
Julie is also well known in the national Respiratory Care Community where she has served as an active member of the Iowa Society for Respiratory Care and the American Association for Respiratory Care in many leadership roles for the past 29 years, with her most recent role as the Past Speaker of the AARC House of Delegates.
Julie has a strong passion for the improving patient care outcomes by advancing clinical practice of Respiratory Care Practitioners, Nurses and Physicians through education and research.
