Name
Analysis, Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement of the FMA/UDS Mobility Registry
Description

Standardized outcome measures and associated datasets are necessary to improve evidence and accountability in the field of mobility assistive equipment. This session will explore the progress and future directions of the Functional Mobility Assessment (FMA) and UniformData Set (UDS) mobility registry, a critical tool for tracking and improving mobility outcomes in clinical and research settings. The session will provide an in-depth review of the registry’s implementation, and data collection methodologies. Various discrete analyses of mobility-related data will be presented including information on demographic information, mobility device type, mobility device accessories, and FMA scores. Additionally, the implementation of standardized measures in clinical routine and associated data collection, aggregation, and analyses will be discussed from previous work. This session will be valuable for clinicians, suppliers, researchers, and administrators interested in optimizing mobility outcomes.

Proposed Learning Objective (1)
Identify three benefits of utilizing the FMA Registry.
Proposed Learning Objective (2)
Describe one discrete analysis from the FMA Registry dataset.
Proposed Learning Objective (3)
Define two outcomes that drive quality improvement within a busy seating clinic.
